El Guro

The El Guro hamlet, located on a mountainside about 1,5 miles (2,5 km) from the coast, is a small world apart - the houses are accessible from the road only over two long, steep stairs.

At the beginning the path looks rather harmless: lush palm trees, exotic cacti and some pretty houses scattered over the place.

But then you reach the first steps. Every step is large, large enough for the donkeys to find their way - for a long time the only transport “vehicle” in the area.

Even if you can still enjoy the scent of fresh mangos coming from a tree on your right-hand side, your attention has been drawn significantly to your legs.
